Six-Pack Saturday

April 11, 2009 | Uncategorized

A while back Sheila posted a bog about sex you can check it out here.

As with lots of things Shelia says, I think about them. There’s still things I have to learn. People surprise the hell out of me on regular basis. Sometimes, I need to hear or see something more than once to get it. With all that in mind, here’s six things related to sex that I’ve learned or been reminded about recently.

1) Everyone defines normal to include their preferences and views. This applies to sex, religion, politics, and everything else.

2) Most people are not entirely comfortable with their sexuality. I keep thinking that we live in the information age and that this is going to improve, but I’m still waiting.

3) Sex is more mental than physical. Really.

4) There are old people, ugly people, and fat people having great sex–like love–it happens for its own reasons and doesn’t conform to any understandable rules.

5) Sex is better with an emotional connection.

6) Sex starts romantic relationships. Sex includes attraction, anticipation, lusting, yearning, and longing.

In case it’s not clear, I’m all for women finding, embracing, and celebrating their sexuality and I’m not picky about how they make that happen.

Why are there boxes around everything?

I thank you for thinking about what I say and I agree with your blog. It’s very much mental and emotional.

Your website/blog still has bugs though. Is it hindering your comments?

  2. Evanne Says:

Comment boxes are pretty common, but I’m not sure that’s what you’re talking about. You’ll have to give me more clues before I can even start to think about fixing bugs. I’m proud I’ve updated the book covers. 8)

I’m proud you’ve updated your book covers too. They look great.

But I was talking about the whole blog. It has boxes around every sentence until I hit the ‘comment’ link and then the whole website lights up as I scroll over it as if it’s trying to be a link, as if there’s some syntax error in the html code in it where there’s supposed to be a link but the end was left open so the whole blog is trying to be a link.
I am feeling compelled to help you.

Hmmm, this may be a browser compatibility thing. I found out the hard way that the blog doesn’t look the same in IE and Firefox–so I’ve made a point of checking both at least once a week to be sure it’s displaying correctly.

Have you run into the same problem with other WP blogs? Jo Leigh used the same format, so does Karen Erickson–you can find hers via the Sizzling Pen’s link on this blog. My other thought is that it might be a server problem.

I do appreciate the feedback, but it’s hard for me to work on a problem I can’t see. :(
