What with the pushy demons and one thing and another, I’m just now getting into the second pirate book–Pirate Games. But, I know a few things and I thought I’d give you all a peek into my current obsession.
First, the series is more open ended than I originally knew. Lex, the hero of book two is one of a squad of former special forces members. His team was sent into a trap, where half of the team was slaughtered. Injured, betrayed, and half crazy with grief, he retaliated. Without proof they;d been set up, the survivors were sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
When a new piracy ring becomes a political nightmare, the incarcerated team is needed to retrieve a hostage. Their freedom and a full pardon are the reward–if they survive.
